Céline Litra, founder of Corsets & Creations Couture

Based in Cumbria in the north of England, the Corsets & Creations Couture workshop is born out of my passion for fashion and the desire for people to benefit from a rich experience acquired in the highest qualified professional environment of the Haute Couture in Paris. To explain, I have provided below a brief resume on my career.

It began in Paris...in the heart of Haute couture world.
Corsets & Creations Couture originates in Paris, at ?les écoles de la chambre syndicale de la couture parisienne?(a well-known fashion school) where I received the best training for my future career.
My first passion was for hats. Firstly I was a milliner, and I then specialised in ?made to measure dressmaking ?. This includes all outfits such as evening gowns, cocktails dresses and wedding dresses made with flowing materials and with haute couture methods.

Experience working alongside the best: from Lacroix to Vuitton.
My first experience in Haute Couture was at JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER (PARIS) where, for several years, I discovered and enjoyed the atmosphere of this environment, this amazing world, the magic of fashion shows, stressful, exciting ... The laces, the feathers, the embroideries made by hand especially on request by the most famous embroiderers. There I gained the skills of doing work by hand in this unique job, as well as the draping pattern-making on stands with all types of silks. I later integrated the fashion houses of CHLOE, CHRISTIAN LACROIX and LOUIS VUITTON (PARIS).

The culmination: Chanel haute Couture.
The ultimate and most memorable stage of my journey in Paris in this environment: I work for Chanel haute Couture. I had the opportunity to work with highly qualified people, all equally talented. I adored shaping Mr Karl Lagerfeld?s creations, using sumptuous materials, high quality original embroideries combined with precise techniques, to create a refined product. This was a unique experience inside this legendary house.

The departure to England: Corsets & Creations Couture is created!

After all these years in an environment where quality is a daily requirement and creation an engine, family reasons forced me to move to England, but my passion is still intact and I want you to benefit from my experience through my work.
